After adopting her first 2 cats Marvin & Zelda in 2016, Kerstin has worked for cat welfare group LUNI Singapore as a photographer, fosterers and admin/consultant since 2018, acquiring pet care knowledge through various courses such as animal behavior, vet nursing (cert3) and Fear Free techniques. Kerstin opened Cat Hotel Shangri-Paw in 2023 to offer cats a behaviourally appropriate and luxurious environment to stay while their owners travel or renovate.
